1. Who we are
Chatterjee Jyotish is operated by the studio of Dr. S.S. Chatterjee, based in New Delhi, India ("we", "us"). You can reach us through our contact page.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a reading. By using the service, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are using it for yourself, or for someone who has consented to your sharing their birth details.
3. What we provide
We provide written astrology readings prepared from the birth details you give us. Each reading describes its scope, price, and delivery time before you buy. Every reading is AI-assisted and then reviewed by an astrologer in the Chatterjee studio. On the Personal tier, Dr. S.S. Chatterjee personally reviews and attests your reading. How your reading was prepared is shown on each reading.
4. The nature of readings
Our readings are offered for guidance, reflection, and entertainment. They are not a substitute for professional advice — medical, legal, financial, psychological, or otherwise. Astrology is an interpretive tradition; we share our honest, considered interpretation, but we do not guarantee specific outcomes, and you remain responsible for your own decisions.

5. Orders & payment
- Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are one-time charges. There is no subscription.
- Payment is taken at the time of order through our secure payment gateway.
- We begin preparing your reading once payment is confirmed and you have submitted your birth details and question.
- Delivery times are estimates made in good faith and run from when we have everything we need from you.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate birth details — the quality of your reading depends on them.
- Use the service lawfully and respectfully.
- Keep your account credentials secure.
- Do not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish your reading as if it were a generic product.
7. Intellectual property
The reading we write for you is yours to keep and use for personal purposes. The website, its design, our methods, and our brand remain our intellectual property. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our readings or the decisions you make based on them. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the reading in question. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date will reflect any change, and continued use means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer-protection rights you have under applicable law.
